This is the ultimate drum and percussion learning experience for students. Whether you're an instrumentalist, vocalist or dancer, this course will improve your sense of time, rhythm and groove. You will learn how to isolate, hear and play multiple meters and subdivisions both as a soloist and in a group setting. You will gain mechanical independence of your hands, feet and voice, improving your ability to assimilate rhythms in music and opening up your creative ear. You will learn how to play several percussion instruments including shakers, bells and drums, while exploring the traditional Afro-Cuban music form called Rumba Guaguanco.
